The Driving Force of Urban Water Body Change in Chonburi Province, Thailand

The rapid urbanization from special economic zones (SEZs) in Asia poses a risk on water crisis. This paper identifies body change trend and its driving force of Chonburi province; the most urbanized area Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) Thailand, order to analyse root cause shortage area. Land use maps 2006 2019 were used evaluate changing bodies using land transition matrix dynamic degree. Panel data 364 observations sub-district was assess forces panel analysis. study reveals that are experiencing an increasing at annual rate 10.72%. predominant factor is type governance, followed by agricultural use, climate population respectively. results highlight human-made urban bodies, importance local authority need international collaboration. Therefore, government should consider strengthen measures policy relative induce significant impact future supply.
